A Few Things I Learned these Past Few Days

It just suddenly felt like I had lots of learnings in life these past few days and I couldn't help but write them down and thank God for giving me the chance to learn new things each day. So before thoughts fade out my mind, here are my learnings.

1. When you are really interested on something that holds an opportunity for you, GO FOR IT in an instant. Don't wait for others to grab the opportunity ahead of you or else you'll cry out your regrets.

2. If you want to HELP OTHERS, help them while you can and at the RIGHT TIMING. Don't wait for the day when you can't do anything but to cry with them at the point of losing hopes. Most importantly, don't be the cause of their hopelessness. Again, help them at the right time.

3. Don't stop communicating until they have understood everything. It pays to REPEAT things and even doing them all over again just to clarify everything. Misunderstanding often leads to disastrous situations.

I have learned this from reading other blogs. One blog post expressed about how important proper communication is in creating a mutual understanding. The blogger says, "I believe that you misunderstanding me is more of my deficiency as a communicator than your deficiency as a listener."  That line just never gets off my head and I'm taking it as my guide in enhancing my communication skills.

4. CHECK ON THINGS EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. When you indulge into something that's important, don't stop when you get there even if you think you have finished something and decided to leave them from where they are. Things change and it always pays to go back and check on these changes from time to time. You never know when changes on your scheduled flight can happen without notice and only those who checked back are rewarded.

5. SAVE MONEY. In an effort to save money, you will always be faced with the temptation to spend it for party. Well in my case, I love partying so I always have that kind of sweet temptation. Now here's the simplest tip: YOU CAN ALWAYS SAY NO!-- whether you tell it to your self or to your friends. A friend of mine asked me to party tonight and I just said no to myself and to my friend. Cheers for resisting the temptation.

6. DON'T BLAME OTHERS for your misfortunes. Instead, thank them for having the chance to experience your misfortune and learn from it. Then, move forward making sure that you don't take the same misfortune twice. Remember, you have already learned from it. If you had it twice, it just either means you're not learning or you have to learn them again.

We can always learn these things through reading but you can never appreciate them until you experience something that gets you into realizing an important lesson in life.
